FAQ

Q:  Do I have to be home for an appointment?
A:  First time clients must be home for the appointment so that I may meet you and answer any questions you may have.  At that time, we can discuss your grooming preferences.  After your initial appointment, you do not need to be home as long as I have access to your pet, you have provided payment, and any grooming instructions that may have changed since the last groom.  Also, I would like a phone number where I can reach you.

Q:  Do you groom cats?
A:  No, I only groom doggies.

Q:  Do you groom large dogs?
A:  No, I am no longer grooming large breed dogs.

Q:  Do you groom sedated dogs?
A:  I do not groom dogs who are sedated.  If a dog requires sedation, you should have your dog groomed at a veterinarian's office where they can monitor your dog's heart rate and breathing.

Q: Can I stay with my dog while being groomed?

A:  Because there is limited space in the van and for insurance reasons, you can not stay with your dog in the van.  But you are more than welcome to take a peek inside before we get started.

Q:  Do you give an exact appointment time?
A:  No, my arrival time will be a 2 hr time span.  I want to give each dog the time and attention required so that I may do the best job possible.  Also, there may be times when unforeseen events occur like traffic delays or inclement weather which may affect my arrival time.

Q:  Do you give discounts if I have more than one dog?
A:  If you have more than one dog, I will take $3 off for each additional dog.

Q:  If I call for an appointment, will I get a voice mail?
A:  Chances are, if you call during business hours you may get my voice mail.  Due to the nature of my job, I may not always be free to answer the phone.  Mobile grooming is an express service which allows me only 1-2 hrs to groom each pet.  Also, if you see me driving in the van and you call, I may not answer.  For my safety, I can not drive and write down your information at the same time.  I will return all messages as soon as I can.  I work Monday through Thursday,  but I do return messages every day of the week.

Policies

Payment Info
Payment is due at time of service.  At this time, I accept cash or check.
If your check is returned as NSF, it will be turned over to CheckCare, a check collection agency. You will be responsible for the fee my bank charges me for your NSF check as well as an additional $25.00 fee from CheckCare.

Cancellation Policy
Please give a 24 hour notice if you must cancel your appointment.  You may leave a voice mail if you don't speak to me directly, but please do not email your cancellation.  I may not see it right away.

No Show Trip Fee
There will be a $25 trip fee if I don't have access to your dog during your scheduled appointment.  This fee is to cover gas and my time to come to you.  If you are a 1st time client and you are a no show when I arrive for your appointment, I will not schedule any future appointments.

Dog Behavior
If your dog becomes too aggressive or stressed, I will stop the grooming process and adjust your bill accordingly.  For my safety as well as your pet's, I will not continue anything that may be harmful to either of us.  I want to make your dog's spa day a positive and relaxing experience.

For aggressive or overly stressed pets, I will not be able to maintain you as a client
.  It may be better and easier for your pet to be groomed in a vet's office where they can safely sedate and monitor your pet during the groom.

Matted Dogs
If your dog is too matted to be brushed or combed out, I will need to shave the hair short.  It is most humane for the dog.  Mats hurt and pinch the skin. Trying to brush them out will only add to the discomfort of your pet and cost you considerably more than it would to shave your dog.

Unpaved or Mountainous Roads
If you live in an area that would require my van to travel on unpaved or very steep and/or "cautious" roads, I can not service you.  As I have already learned, it is damaging to the grooming van to travel on such treacherous roadways.

I reserve the right to cancel the groom if your dog is aggressive or too stressed.
